The Young Artist (TYA) is a Social Emotional and Trauma-Informed Performing Arts Education. The Young Artist is composed of a group of professional performers and teaching artists of different backgrounds with 20 years of teaching and childcare experience. We are consistently collaborating with educators and therapists to bring comprehensive, effective, developmentally appropriate and fun activities to your school or childcare center! Our teachers can speak the following languages: English, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Filipino (Tagalog), French and German.We are passionate about performing arts education and we want to share our love for music, movement and theatre in New York.
The Young Artist (formerly known as Ally Artists Enrichment) was established in 2012.
The Young Artist is a comprehensive, fun, creative, and age-appropriate arts education program that employs Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Trauma-Informed principles. It is designed to empower young people by providing them with the tools and support they need to develop their artistic talents, build self-confidence, and cultivate social-emotional skills.
The program offers a wide range of classes, workshops, and performances that are tailored to the specific needs and interests of children and adolescents. The classes are led by experienced arts educators who are passionate about providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
In addition to providing students with a strong arts education, The Young Artist program also places a strong emphasis on social-emotional learning and trauma-informed practices. The program's staff is trained in trauma-informed care and is committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
